Update: The original plan was voted down by Derry Township Supervisors following public outcry over the proposed demolition of the existing building on West Chocolate Avenue. However, Tikka Shack remained committed to opening at the location and redesigned plans have been approved to remodel the existing structure.

Hershey, Pennsylvania – Plans for Tikka Shack to be built at 150 West Chocolate Avenue, at the intersection of Ridge Road, may soon be approved. The proposal includes the demolition of an existing building, and the new construction of a second location for the restaurant that has been highly successful near the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg.

Tikka Shack features “the best in Indian cuisine.”

Consideration of the plan is on the agenda for new business at Monday night’s Downtown Core Design Board Meeting.

Why not leave the building and just put in the restaurant?
It would keep some of old Hershey charm.
